Creative Leftover Pizza Recipes

There’s nothing better than waking up the next morning to realize you have some leftover pizza in the fridge. Now, unless you are team #coldpizza you probably want to find the best way to reheat your pie. But, we want to go beyond that. Although a perfectly reheated pizza slice is fantastic, we have some leftover pizza recipes that will transform your leftover pizza menu forever.

In fact, sometimes we just order extra to make sure we have some leftover pizza to try some of these recipes.

Pizza Cheese Melt

Is there anything more delicious in life than a patty melt? Didn’t think so. Now imagine this: a pizza patty melt. And it is so easy to do, it is almost a sin to not re-use your leftover pizza with this recipe. Once you learn how to make this recipe, your breakfast will never go back to boring toast with avocado. Here’s how to get this done:

Heat up your skillet, place your Hungry Howie’s leftover pizza slice in the middle, top it with a patty, then more cheese, and then another pizza slice. Press with a sandwich press or a metal spatula, letting it cook for 3 minutes. Flip, cook for 3 more minutes. Enjoy!

Pizza Croutons

Your salads will never be the same after this. We love to use our pizza croutons on everything, including tomato soup. Although we confess sometimes we just eat these pizza croutons as appetizers by themselves, they are just too delicious.

Stack two leftover pizza slices, toppings facing each other. Using a pizza wheel, cut out the croutons. In a large saucepan, add some oil over medium-high heat. Add your pizza croutons and cook for about 3 minutes. Flip and flip until you get crispy, melty, pizza croutons. Serve while hot!

Howie’s tip: order some garlic butter with your Hungry Howie’s pizza and add some to the pan while you cook the pizza croutons. Yum!

Pizza-Chinese Rolls

Alright, this is perhaps the weirdest combination ever. But we promise it is delicious. Odds are you have some leftover Chinese food, and you order extra pizza, so you could have some leftover pizza. These Chinese pizza rolls will revolutionize the way you eat leftover foods. Period.

Spread the leftover Chinese food over the pizza slices. Sprinkle a layer of mozzarella cheese on top. And then, start rolling the pizza slice from the crust end. Secure your pizza roll with a toothpick and bake for about 10 minutes to get crispy, melty, delicious pizza Chinese rolls.

Pizza Waffle

Pizza for breakfast? Yes, please! You can just pop your leftover pizza on your waffle iron and get a pizzalicious breakfast in less than 5-minutes. Plus, if you have some leftover cheese pizza, you can add as many toppings as you want later so you can customize your pizza breakfast waffle.

Just top two leftover pizza slices, toppings facing each other. Trim the border, save those for later or as appetizers. Arrange your pizza leftover pieces on your waffle iron and cook as you would your waffles. Enjoy while hot with some marinara sauce.

Pizza Lasagna

Two ultimate Italian dishes melt together for a cheesy, delicious, and epic recipe. Nothing like a mix of pizza and your favorite lasagna sauce, with tons of cheese on top. Honestly, this recipe is so delicious, you could get a pizza just to turn it into pizza lasagna.

Start arranging pizza slices on the bottom of your lasagna pan. Blend ricotta, eggs, and seasonings. Add this mix as a thin layer over your pizza slices. Sprinkle mozzarella. Keep layering your pizza slices, your sauce, and the cheese until you fill the pan.

Finish with some mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and cook 15 more minutes. If you can, wait about 15 minutes before you cut it.

We don’t know about you, but our mouths are watering over here. We are ordering some Hungry Howie’s pizza ASAP so we can try some of these recipes tomorrow.
