The World Pizza Games are hosted every year at the Pizza Expo in Las Vegas. Professional pizza makers and lovers gather to test their pizza-making abilities and show the world who is the best. Plus, it gives attendees the opportunity to watch the competitors on stage to record some epic pizza performances.

So, not everyone knows how to do freestyle pizza tossing. The World Pizza Games are divided into categories, and professional pizza makers score the contestants on performance, quality, and more.
Freestyle Acrobatic Dough Tossing
If you thought because you finally learned how to toss pizza dough you should be called a pizza chef, wait until you see these guys. They do acrobatics while tossing pizzas in the air.
Last year’s winner was Justin Wadstein from California, and his freestyle acrobatic dough tossing is addictive to watch.
Fastest Dough Stretch
How long does it take you to stretch dough into a perfectly round pizza shape? 5 minutes? 2 minutes? Probably more than that. These professional pizza makers can do this in a fraction of a minute, right in front of your eyes.
The 2017 fastest dough stretcher was Mitchell Rotolo from Baton Rouge. He got his dough into a perfect shape in just 29.02 seconds. That’s how fast he is!
Largest Dough Stretch
Do you struggle to get pizza dough to be as large as you need it to be? Don’t worry, we get it. Dough stretching is harder than most people think. In fact, our pizza masters think it should be considered an art, and we couldn’t agree more.
Last year’s largest dough stretch champion, Matt Hickey from Pittsburgh, got his pizza dough to be 105.4 x 99.7 centimeters. That’s about 6 pencils on top of each other!
Fastest Box Folding
Can you be as fast as the flash? We don’t think so, but these guys are definitely close. They can fold pizza boxes with their eyes blindfolded if they were challenged to. Their skills are awe-inspiring, and before you notice they have already folded at least twice as many boxes as you.
The winner managed to fold the box in 20.03 seconds -- Bonn Rassavong from Ohio. We might recruit him for Hungry Howie’s® pizza box folding team.
Pizza Triathlon
You need certain skills to train for this pizza triathlon. Contestants are tested in box-folding, fast dough-tossing, and large-dough skills. The rules are strict, and the pressure is on as not many pizza makers know how to master all these pizza-making skills.
However, the winner set a new record finishing the pizza triathlon in 37.03 seconds! Now, that's flash speed right there.
