We’ve all tried weird pizza flavors at some point in our lives. If you haven’t, it’s probably because your pizza personality is too safe. But, for those out there brave enough to try weird pizza toppings, we’ve come up with the ultimate weird challenge: what Hungry Howie’s® pizza crust would you pair with these weird toppings? We just really want to know what you think goes well with our Ranch Flavored Crust®.
Weird Topping #1: Falafel
Howie has used falafels to prank some of his meat lover friends. Falafel is the vegan version of the cheeseburger pizza, and while we love a falafel sandwiches, we're not sure about falafel pizza. But, if you asked us, we would totally pair them with our Onion Flavored Crust® for a bold flavor that compliments the falafel.
Weird Topping #2: Sweet Plantain
This one is easy, at least to us. We have learned from our Latin friends that sweet plantains go well with two things, and two things only. Do you know what they are? The sweet, creamy flavor of the sweet plantain almost demands to be paired with the salty taste of our Butter Parmesan Flavor Crust® for a match made in pizza heaven.
Weird Topping #3: Lobster
Who said pizza can’t be fancy? Lobster pizza is exquisite, or so we’ve been told, but one thing is true - it’s absolutely top class. We don’t know about you, but when we eat lobster, we ask for some melted garlic butter on the side. Is your mouth watering yet? So, it’s only obvious we would pair lobster with our Garlic Herb Flavored Crust® pizza.
Weird Topping #4: Kimchi
Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish made of fermented vegetables, chili, garlic, scallions, and some ginger. If you like exotic flavors, this is your dish. But, kimchi gets an update when it’s added to pizza, another match made in weird toppings heaven. Picture this: our Sesame Flavored Crust® with some kimchi and Korean sausage. Delicious, right?
Weird Topping #5: Chicken Tikka-Masala
Chicken tikka masala and pizza are perhaps the most loved take-out foods ever. That’s probably why someone decided to pair them and create a match made in take-out heaven. It has everything you want, your favorite Margherita pizza, topped with tangy chicken tikka-masala, and if you ask us, it should be on top of our Ranch Flavored Crust® to create the perfect balance.
Weird Topping #6: Enchilada
This is not for the faint of heart. This pizza combo packs some heat, real heat. A crispy pizza crust, topped with shredded pork carnitas, some enchilada sauce, and of course, jalapeños, Poblanos, and every other spicy thing you can find. If you're truly brave, we dare you to pair this weird pizza topping with our Cajun Flavored Crust® for an extra kick.
Weird Toppings #7: Breakfast
All right, these are several toppings, we get that. But, a pizza topped with your favorite fried eggs, ham, bacon, onions, pico de gallo, and cheddar cheese, can be the ultimate breakfast meal, right? After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so you need your pizza nutrients. If it were up to us, we would stay with our Original pizza crust and let the toppings shine on their own.
Weird Toppings #8: Gyro
Part gyro sandwich, part pizza. This weird topping combination includes gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, and a drizzle of tzatziki sauce. Maybe you can roll your pizza slice to make it look like a gyro sandwich. We want to pair this tasty creation with our Butter Flavored Crust® just to make it more pizzalicious.
