Cold vs. Hot Pizza Debate

Apparently, there are some people out there who actually enjoy eating cold pizza. Before you shut them off immediately, it's time to stir into the debate and see what they are saying. Hungry Howie’s® is about to tap into the cold vs. hot pizza debate to find out once and for all which one is better.

The Cold Pizza Argument

Even though we know there’s no better feeling than finding leftover pizza in your fridge, eating it cold is a whole different thing. According to those who root for cold pizza, the time your precious pizza slice spends in the fridge allows its flavors and aromas to develop overnight. It's almost as if you were marinating the pizza in the fridge.

Others say that they enjoy the cold cheese texture. But that’s definitely a preference statement and cannot be factored in this debate. Apparently, cold pizza sauce tastes sharper, the crust becomes sweeter, and you get a very different texture that you would never find in hot pizza slices.

However, try cold pizza at your own risk.

“Honestly cold pizza is 10x better than hot pizza, why can’t they just deliver it cold.”

“Is it just me, or is cold pizza kinda like, slightly better than hot pizza?”

“Am I the only one who sometimes orders pizza at night just to have some cold pizza in the morning…”

The Hot Pizza Argument

Well, if we must argue that hot pizza is better, we have one thing to say: Duh!

Pizza was initially meant to be eaten piping hot, straight from the oven. At Hungry Howie’s® we work hard to ensure all our pizza delivery orders arrive as hot as they were when they left our stores. Nobody wants a cold pizza, right?

Hot pizza is soft, it blends perfectly, it has runny, melting cheese, and it burns your tongue just a little bit. Those are the great qualities of a good hot pizza. If you have leftovers, there’s no reason to eat cold pizza. We’ve shared many methods to reheat your pizza leftovers so you can get a crispy pizza slice in no time.

Pizza was meant to be eaten hot. Or so we believe.

“Cold pizza is not good! Now, Day old pizza, microwaved, is good.”

“I don’t think I will ever understand people who eat cold pizza”

“I just willingly ate cold pizza that was the worst decision I’ve ever made”

The debate is still out there for the fight between cold pizza vs. hot pizza. We can’t say we don’t love those who eat cold pizza, but we stand by those who enjoy a hot, crispy, melty slice of pizza, preferably with a side of Howie Wings® if we must say.
