5 Spooky Pizza Recipes & More
Here’s to everyone that’s planning a Halloween pizza party this year. Because we want your party to be the best party out there, we’re sharing some spooky pizza recipes. These scary Halloween recipe ideas will not only feed all of your guests, but they will also serve as spooky décor.
1. Mozzarella Ghosts
Put on your creative hat for this spooky recipe idea. You’re not going to need many ingredients, but you definitely need to be creative and work your way around mozzarella cheese to make these adorable pizza ghosts.
Ingredients:
1 Cheese Pizza
Mozzarella Cheese Balls
Black Olives
Directions:
Once you receive your cheese pizza order from Hungry Howie’s®, place it on a pizza baking sheet. Grab the mozzarella cheese balls and shape them into ghost shapes. Bake until the cheese melts. Take the pizza out of the oven, carefully cut the black olives to make the eyes and the mouth. Place them over the melted mozzarella ghosts. Enjoy!
2. Black Olive Spiders
This spooky pizza will be automatically scary for kids – it has black olives on it. But, for those of you that like black olives, it will be both fun and scary to look at. Our black olive spider spooky pizza recipe is perfect for those last minute pizza party planning ideas.
Ingredients:
Black Olives
Cheese Pizza
Black Spaghetti
Directions:
Carefully cut each black olive in half until you have enough to cover part of the pizza. Then, take the cheese pizza out of the box, and start placing your black olives scattered over the pizza. Use the black spaghetti to add the spiders’ legs to each olive. Voila!
3. Howie Bread® Mummy Fingers
These are the only mummy fingers we ever want to see in our lives. Even though they might look scary, they are absolutely delicious and will leave you licking your own fingers. You only need a few ingredients, and a ton of creativity, to pull this one off.
Ingredients:
Howie Bread®
Almonds
Tomato Sauce
Directions:
Using a bread knife, split each Howie Bread® stick in half. Then, grab an almond and place it on one of the ends, this will be your fingernail. Leave the tomato dipping sauce in the middle and place the mummy fingers around them. You can even put one inside the dipping sauce cup to make it look like a bloody finger.
4. Pepperoni Pumpkin Pizza
Here’s another one that the children will adore. Truthfully, we adults love it as well. All you need is one pepperoni pizza, some creativity, and a pumpkin shape you can look at for inspiration. This recipe can be done in seconds, and everyone will be impressed by it.
Ingredients:
Pepperoni Slices
Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza
Directions:
No matter if you choose to work with a cheese pizza or a pepperoni one, you can make this spooky pizza recipe in a heartbeat. Start by looking at a pumpkin picture somewhere (we recommend a phone or a tablet). Then, use the pepperoni slices to create a pumpkin shape over the pizza. It does not have to be perfect; as long as you get the overall pumpkin shape, you should be good to go. If you want, you can bake it again, so the cheese melts with the new pepperoni slices, or you can just enjoy as is.
5. Howie Rolls® Snakes
We don’t know about you, but snakes are very scary. We don’t ever want to be in front of a snake. Unless it's one of these cheesy Howie Rolls® snakes. Then, they’re going to end up in our stomach in a few seconds.
Ingredients:
Howie Rolls®
Red Pepper
Black Olives
Tomato Sauce
Directions:
Take one Howie Roll® and remove the wrapping, place the roll on a serving plate. Cut a red pepper strip and shape it like a snake’s tongue. Stick the tongue on one side of the Howie Roll®. Cut black olive circles and use them as eyes. Add some tomato sauce by the mouth of the snake to make it look as if it has some blood.
There are so many different spooky recipes you can try this Halloween to impress your guests. Of course, when your starting point is pizza, they’ll be even more impressed. Just don’t scare anyone away serving cheese-less pizza, that’s honestly a scary thing to witness.
