The pink pizza boxes are back at Hungry Howie's! It is October which means it is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. For every pizza sold throughout the month, a portion of the sales goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Over A Decade of Love, Hope, & Pizza for Breast Cancer Awareness
For the 11th year in a row, Hungry Howie's is changing its pizza boxes to pink and will include the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) logo on each box. Love, Hope & Pizza originated as a way to show love for the communities Hungry Howie's serves and now honors those who have fought breast cancer.
As of 2019, more than $3 million has been donated to the NBCF in order to help and inspire hope for those affected by this devastating disease through early detection, education, and support services. Along with its pink boxes, Hungry Howie's also has special Love, Hope & Pizza merchandise and in-store donations available at participating locations with the net proceeds going to NBCF.
Consumers also have the chance to spread the Love, Hope & Pizza message using the hashtag #LoveHopePizza.
An estimated 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime while 1 in 1,000 men will be affected by the disease as well. NBCF has been helping those with breast cancer since 1991. The mission of the organization is to help and inspire those who are affected by breast cancer.
NBCF provides free mammograms for women in the U.S. through its network of hospitals.
